About Us
MySchoolSwap is the first classified ad web site created for schools and their surrounding communities with the purpose of bringing much needed revenue to schools. We like to think of it as a meaningful alternative to Craigslist.
Our Story
After years of volunteer work with schools and non-profits, I realized there was a need for a local advertising network where volunteers, parents and small businesses or community groups could advertise to each other.
What if there was a network that would allow parents to sell used sporting equipment or clothing to families with younger children … or allow volunteers to announce big fundraisers … or help small business owners like tutors or music instructors reach their market of families with school age children?
Most importantly ... what if this network could benefit our schools?
MySchoolSwap was ignited!
MySchoolSwap provides a space to buy, sell, swap and promote your business or service with the folks closest to you through School Pages. Yet all ad listings still reach a greater audience—MySchoolSwap functions like most other popular advertising web sites.
Did you know that 30 million new ads are posted on Craigslist monthly? Why not bring some of this activity to MySchoolSwap—a friendly and local space? And, bring much needed revenue to our schools through sponsored advertising? MySchoolSwap donates 50% of all sponsored ad sales to schools.
Finally, our pledge to our members is to keep MySchoolSwap simple and easy to use, while protecting their anonymity.
Ads reach far and wide, but personal information will not. Your email address is anonymous in your ad. We will not provide or sell email lists to outside sources and personal information will not be available to other users unless it's provided in an ad description. We simply bring the community together to benefit schools.
Our Mission
The mission of My School Swap, LLC is to support schools everywhere by providing a thriving resale marketplace and
advertising network that is easy to use and a beneficial resource to the school community and beyond.
